For years I have been trying just about every rub on tool out there. I never knew whether it was me or not but I always had trouble putting a nice clean rub-on down on my paper. I had just about given up on ever using rub-ons when I came across this fairly new rub on tool by Basic Grey.

Its a tool that makes using and laying down rub-ons a breeze. I used it for the first time the other night with a fairly large rub on. Putting the rub on down went like lightening and didn't need the strength of a sumo wrestler! It’s shaped like a pen with a large roller ball at one end and a spatula at the other. Because the ball glides so easily you reduce the friction and you get a very clean transfer. Just lay your rub on down and trace over the word or make circular motions if it is an image. You don’t need to press down hard. The spatula end is used for setting your rub on. Lay the rub-on backing (slimy side down) over the design and burnish it with the paddle for a smooth, perfect finish. Again, you don’t need to put a lot of muscle into this step. If you buy no other tool this year buy this one. You will be so happy you did!!

Currently, this retails for around $6-$7.

Have a Great Day! :jigx:

I know a few ladies that just bought this, and they love it!! They said that it has become one of their favorite *tools*!! May have to check into them and see if I like them, cuz I had given up on Rub Ons, because most of them are just too hard to transfer.

Personal Thought: You should walk a mile in someone else's shoes before you criticize them - and with that, you'll be a mile away and have their shoes when you do!
I'll have to check this out. We're debating on whether to add Basic Grey's new stuff to this batch of new goodies or add it to next month's batch. I was kind of waiting for my rep to get me the new catalog to decide it. It's always hard to decide after they bring out all of the new stuff, but seeing posts with suggestions or conversations sure help. In fact, I think I might start a new thread and get some input on the lines you all would like to see added in first, and start putting in our blog as we add them..

Thanks for the post!

For me basic gray, fancy pants, black market designs, cosmo cricket and crate paper are on the top of my buying list. I am enjoying all the freedom with colors and designs they have and the embellishments to match. They are each coming out with rubons, diecuts, chipboard and so on....I am so excited about these lines right now.

I have had one for a long time but I don;t use rub-ons much. I use my finger. But it works great when I dig it out!

I've been eyeballing them, but haven't resolved to get one yet.
